Dear Santa Rosa Sunrise Rotarians & Friends,

Our Club’s 40th Anniversary Celebration is being held on Saturday, June 27, at the Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club.  In honor of our Club’s outstanding service work over the last 40 years, my friend and regular Rotary supporter, Steve Ridgway of Criterion Travel, has generously donated a suite on a luxury yacht cruise as a 40th anniversary fundraiser for our Club.

We are auctioning this Category A Balcony Suite on the “UNESCO Treasures of Ancient Greece Cruise” aboard the elegant 50-cabin yacht, Emerald Azzura. This extraordinary journey sails September 17th - 26th, 2026, providing a perfect blend of luxury, history, and cultural immersion.

Cruise highlights include:

  • One hotel night in Athens for guided sightseeing

  • A 7-night cruise around the stunning Peloponnese Peninsula

  • Visits to UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Mycenae, Epidaurus, Mystras, Olympia, and Delphi

  • Special access to Nestor's Palace at Pylos, with exclusive insights from renowned archaeologists

  • Enriching lectures from four onboard experts accompanying the cruise

  • The voyage concludes with a dramatic passage through the Corinth Canal before returning to Athens

This voyage is organized by Criterion Travel for travelers and expert lecturers from the following organizations: the Archaeological Institute of America, the American Horticultural Society, Colorado College, National Trust of Historic Preservation, and Yale University.

Please review the cruise brochure attached.  Bids on this suite for two guests can be made at the RallyUp auction website:  https://go.rallyup.com/4c9d0e.  To place a bid, this link must be used. The bidding is being started at 50% of the retail price and will be limited to District 5130 Rotarians and friends through Memorial Day.

NOTE: The retail value of this suite is $14,990 per person, or $29,800 for two travelers. The starting bid is $15,000 for the suite for two, half price.

Santa Rosa Sunrise Rotarian Steve Amend and his wife took this Criterion cruise a few years ago and had this to say: "Kathleen and I took the Criterion Trip “Circumnavigation of the Peloponnese” sponsored by the Department of Anthropology, University of Arizona and the American Institute of Archaeology in May 2014. It was the trip of a lifetime for us. We remain in contact with one of the Professors from the trip, Dr. David Romano."

This is your chance to not only indulge in a dream vacation, but also to support another 40 years of important community initiatives by Santa Rosa Sunrise Rotary.  Thank you for your participation.
